Pic Foundation- The PIC Foundation uses a PIC16F877 as its central processing unit. The processor runs at 8 MHz, and all necessary support circuitry is on-board. All 33 of the chip's I/O pins are broken out through the headers to every layer connected to the Tower. Power circuitry, as well as a start button and serial programming header are also present. Rabbit Foundation- The Rabbit Foundation is built around a prepackaged Rabbit 2300 Ethernet-Enabled processor module, clocked at 22.1 MHz. With the Ethernet port in use, the Rabbit's thirteen remaining I/O pins are passed up the Tower through connection headers. Power circuitry, as well as a start button and serial programming header are also present. [details...]
