Playmaker A Puppet Show Construction Kit Playmaker is an all-encompassing environment for creating puppet shows. From scripting and storyboarding, to design, fabrication and ultimately production, it gives groups of kids (and adults) the ability to create an entire production from scratch. With the ability to write the show, design lights and sound, create characters, and build elaborate sets, this project promises to be an engaging group activity that has the potential to fit nicely into both standard school curriculum, as well as less structured play-environments. By including tools that enable access to laser-cutters, 3d-printers, and other newly available rapid-prototyping environments, people of all ages and experience levels have the ability to create shows of high production quality. In the design of this project, I hope to draw upon my extensive experience in theatre, ranging from technical design to directing and acting.
